About Annabel Elliot |
interior design
& antiques |
Annabel Elliot has been in the antique business for 30 years and has dealt in everything from vintage clothing to serious paintings and furniture. She started with exhibitions in New York and then for ten years, within a partnership, opened a large and highly successful shop in Dorset. During the past two years, she has traded independently, opening a large warehouse and offices near Salisbury, Wiltshire. The independence allows her the freedom to work as a decorator for an international clientele. Her taste is relaxed and not in any way stuffy, dealing in everything from 17th century tapestries to lucite tables from the 1970s…
Others have described her style as relaxed and romantic, as well as eclectic and cutting edge, hence many of her clients tend to be in their 20’s and 30’s. Her strength is that she doesn’t try to impose her own taste, but works very closely with them, interpreting their ideas in her own inimitable way. Annabel’s sources are taken from all over the world and she has a particular love of textiles and colour. With the contacts she has made on her many travels, both in this country and abroad, she is able to find both the antique and the retro from a great many sources. |
